"When I was little, my grandparents lived far enough away that we didn't get to see them too often. So, to keep them close to their first grandchild and what I was doing, my mother used to jot down humorous happenings and momentous "firsts" on 3x5 cards and send them to my grandmother, calling them "KatieDids." It seems only fitting that I should name my business - creating the beautiful things that I love - after those first "KatieDids," and pay tribute to the two wonderful women in my life who have always encouraged me to be creative and share my creativity with others.

"This business has evolved out of my love for creating beautiful things, and from my love of finding that perfect something for a gift or for the home. So often I've found myself making wreaths or curtains or other decorative items simply because nothing ready-made seems quite right. I know I'm not alone in this. So many women I've talked with have also spent hours looking for something - only to come home empty-handed. Sometimes the color is hard to find. Sometimes it's the style or size desired. And sometimes we come home empty-handed because our budget won't allow us to buy what we find. For most of these instances, I just come home and make it in the right color or size or make a less-expensive version. But not all women can or want to do this. That's why I've created this business. I want every women to be able to get that special something.

"I would love to help you decorate your home with unique window treatments, bedding, and accessories that truly reflect you... to help you make your house into a beautiful home that you love. Please feel free to ask about any ideas, desires, or difficulties that you may be having. I'd love to help, and you are under no obligation to order anything... just ask!"
